In Affirmation, Cavilla places a kneeling woman beside a reclining man, her bowed head and resting hands drawing the two figures into a quiet, intimate exchange. Warm copper and orange tones emerge from deep violet and green shadows, while slender trees beyond the window suggest a world outside the enclosed room. The curved body and still face hold the composition in a moment of suspension, echoing the sense of impending change in its accompanying phrase.
