ABOUT

Painting has always been at the centre of my creative life. Over the years my work has expanded into writing, music, design, narration and publishing, but each discipline seems to eventually return to the same source: a lifelong fascination with image, story, and the symbolic language of myth.

After studying Communication and Design at the Ontario College of Art, I spent a formative year studying fine art in Florence. That experience opened the door to decades of travel and creative work throughout Canada, Europe, and Latin America.

My paintings have found homes with collectors in several countries, while my writing, published under the pseudonym Gilliam Ness, includes The Last Artifact Trilogy and the forthcoming Gordon’s Feast. Whether I’m working in paint, prose, or music, I’m drawn to the place where imagination, psychology, mythology, and lived experience intersect.

Today I work from my studio in San Roque, southern Spain, continuing to explore these ideas through whichever medium feels best suited to the work.
