In Subaquatica, Cavilla evokes an underwater world through layered greens, deep blues and scattered glimmers of light. Fine, looping lines trace shell-like spirals and other organic forms across the dark, textured surface, while pale blue marks gather along the lower edge. These shifting details give the painting a sense of suspended movement, suggesting life beneath the surface without settling into a literal scene.
