En Peces cíclicos, Cavilla sets an elongated orange bird-man figure above a narrow band of blue water, its curved silhouette balanced by a corpse lying on the bank. As a crow feeds on the flesh, a fish in the water below it hints at something cyclical, while the flutter of birds against a pale sky animate the scene with innocence. Earthy greens, warm ochres and layered textures bind these fated encounters in a dreamlike landscape where the relationships between all inhabitants hints at a universal cycle.
